Re: Ujoint replacement.

you can measure them pretty easy when dismounted to be sure. bearing cap diameter, crosswidth and place of the greasefitting. I did all that and even from a specialty drivetrain shop couldn't get any to fit mine. So strange. I had presumed that ones from EI would fit even before I measured. That wa...

Re: Ujoint replacement.

I had a bit of trouble with mine. Most notably, not all shafts take the same size ujoint. I ordered some fro EI and they didn't fit. I thought it was an oddball drive shaft, so I bought a spare one and discovered that the ujoints didn't fit that one either. It drove me crazy trying to figure it all ...

Re: broken heat xchanger outlets - pic added.....

I have a set of the pipes from inside a heat exchanger with the flanges welded on and in good condition. The shell had rusted out and the aluminum fins were bad so were removed. I made a temorary bracket to help support the pipes from the original heat exchanger mount above. IMG_4296.jpg IMG_4298.j...

Re: broken heat xchanger outlets - pic added.....

I am going outside my expertise a bit but I have had one of those exchangers torn apart. Perhaps if you could find a pipe whose OD is close to the old ID, one could weld that to the relatively beefy flange then insert into the old pipe to clamp. Actually you could take the pipe all the way to the f...

Re: broken heat xchanger outlets - pic added.....

Not a lot of meat there to work with :( Might be time for a replacement and while your at it a new SS Muffler. Even if the metal was not rusted and solid, that looks like a fatigue crack not sure you can weld or braze to that with confidence :? Ya, I'm going to pull it all apart and see what the co...

broken heat xchanger outlets - pic added.....

Hi all, Was cruising through the search options, but not finding what I need. My heat exchanger connections to the muffler have both snapped. Any tips or tricks anyone has used to repair this particular area? I'm considering the cheap flex material used to repair exhaust leaks, but that is usually v...

Re: Torque Tube removal...inspection

Keep it and use it! Mine has dings and dents all over and I'll probably never fix them. As long as it runs good and isn't rusting apart, I figure it's serving the intended purpose. You'll regret selling in my opinion, especially at that price.

Mine gets stored too. Mines not nearly as nice mind you, but watching it slowing disintegrate would make me sad :(

Sad that they won't risk letting any Canadians get their hands on these. I guess we are too infamous for starting up separtist militias and insurgent groups.

Haf-e wrote:So what is included with the door uppers? Any of the rubber weatherstripping on the edge of the door? or does that need to be added?

Thanks,
No weather stripping or anything that I remember. Need to swap it all out from the old door or add new.
