Re: Ian's TGB13 6x6 (Australia)

Can those two small bottles be removed from the space under the dash and the tubing run straight through without them? There are two additional filler caps outside for the washer fluid and coolant, I believe those are fluid and coolant also, just not sure why those bottles exist. Are they overflow c...

Color Matching Existing Camo Colors

So I went and got a few pints of paint computer matched by the local HD store to the swatches I had. Luckily, the previous owner provided me with a stick that had the four colors on it, but it is about a decade or so old, as is some of the paint. By using a brush to hand-apply the paint, it has ende...

My grandfather told me once, "You will never regret spending a bit more and getting the best tool you can afford. You will always regret buying a tool that breaks or fails to work as it should in order to save a few dollars." Sage advice!

Re: Things you can do to improve your Pinzgauer in an aftern

This needs to be compiled into a sticky or PDF or something, with a section for Halfys and TGBs too! Excellent idea!

Also, anyone else here a fan of Corrosion X products? I have cases and gallons of that stuff from my SO's father, its pretty amazing stuff.

Re: pics of really rare volvos: TGB12 Amphie, TGB20/L4230 8x

as far as the reverse water flow into the exhaust, a simple check valve )float valve?) would solve the problem for the most part, so that any outward pressure from the engine would force it open, lack of pressure or reverse pressure (water) would close it. I recall hearing something about an exhaust...

Re: Volvo C303 w/ Chevy V-8 on Ebay

I would not, under any circumstance, want to drive a C303 powered by a chevy V8. Sounds like, at best, a scary way to tip over and at worst a good way to rip your lower mechanicals to shreds. Those components were not designed for that kind of horsepower or torque, to my limited knowledge. I wondere...

Volvo sighting: 1964 Viking TGB 939

Never seen this one before, found on web. Notice the drivers windshield tilts out like the later TGB's, and the huge square box hatch up top with storage rack.

Found a nice source for sound and insulation products

Not sure if anyone is doing any interior panel work, but I found a site that has a pretty wide selection of different types, seems to be reasonable prices as well. Aside from tar-based dynamat against the metal, I plan on using a combo of vacuum sealed insulation on the larger, square panels and som...

Hey Freshy! Those seats are Bestop TrailMax II Pro (separate headrest). The material is like denim coated with rubber, super durable, though I wish I would have gotten the same material in the center (do that if you order them, it is much more durable/stain resistant than the softer center fabric.) ...

Re: Wow Pinzgauer

Holy snikies - what an amazing job. There are so many artful design choices on this, subtle fabrications that bring out some of the OEM elements while building on top of or replacing parts of it in a way that really brings the design up to date. It does not appear (to me) to be a 70s/80s vehicle any...
