Re: What is this for? Two front and two in the back?

The two in front pivot to secure the rear facing jump seats when they are in the stored (up) position. Never could figure out the two in back.

Re: Vermont Overland Rally 2017

My son and I are headed up to Reading Vt for the rally this weekend. Starts on Thursday. They've changed the name to Vermont Overland Birdwatching Safari. Anyone else headed that way? It would be great to meet up and trade stories.

C303 C of G

Are there any drawings available showing the Center of Gravity for a C303? Assuming it is stock and unloaded.

Thanks, Rick

Reminds me of the joke about George Washington's cherry tree axe.

1975 TGB 11 Vineyard Haven MA All original except for a couple of front seats that somebody must have lifted out of a Chevelle. Had to replace the rusted out roof hatch but found a NOS one in Denmark. Working my way through the fuel system to try to solve a hot starting issue. Found filters and diap...

tgb Fuel Pressue

I searched through the data base looking for comments about C303 fuel issues. Maybe the answer to the following is in there but I couldn't find it. In the front of the engine compartment is a fuel filter element and bowl. The top is marked pressure regulator. Acorn nut on top. Tatanka lists it as a ...

Re: Flamethrower coil for 123ignition

i understood from a US supplier that the 123 ignition was only available in 12 volts. How can the stock 24 volt Bosch coil work?
Thanks for any input on the subject.

Re: Officially shopping for a Volvo C303

I thought the one available in North Carolina recently looked pretty good. When you get one that means there will be two of us in MA. The registry here on the island couldn't decide what to call mine and what to do if it wasn't listed in their computer. I said "Look outside. Lets call it a van....

Re: Vermont Overland Rally 2017

Thanks for your link to Vermont Overland. I've been searching high and low for any 4X4 get togethers in the Northeast. They are few and far between. Also it seems like the only trails in New England are on private land and hard to access. There seems to be one on State property in northern NH. I don...

Re: Winch electrics amperage load

Thanks very much. I guess I should have been more specific. I was talking about self recovery. I have a 54 M56 Dodge with a PTO winch for doing heavy dragging. Never had a vehicle with an electric winch. The Volvo batteries are in pretty good shape so that should be good to go.

Winch electrics amperage load

I have a stock 24volt Military tgb 111 or C303. I have been researching installing an electric winch. Using the WARN Severe Duty 12 as an example I am concerned about the amperage requirements to operate the winch. If you were to strictly adhere to the rated duty cycle with a line load of 8000# you ...

Re: 1975 Volvo C303 - TGB1111 - Tank Killer - $10500

I just talked to Tony in Portland who is selling the vehicle. Nice guy. It is still available. Overall it sounds like it's in pretty decent shape. If I could convince my wife we really needed two tgb's I'd be on a plane to the West Coast in a heart beat. Somebody please buy it before my resolve to b...

Re: WANTED: TGB11 roof hatch assembly

I am quite happy with it. Like you everything on the body was fine except the steel hatch. Mine was just rust scabs holding hands. The new one is a heavier gauge steel. You don't have to pay the EU VAT. That helps cover some of the shipping. I ordered a few other things since they were sending a box...
