My awesome 710K air conditioning installation.
I am proud of my two years of playing with the design and installation of an AC in my 710K. I managed to get a standard "of the shelf" cheap AC kit and install it without drilling a single hole in the trucks body, except for the gearbox access cover in the back floor. The major challenges....

Re: Gas heater debug
I have posted somewhere around some diagrams, most likely for the old version, you have the new version, but still look around and you may find diagrams. No experience with this model. You have two options, find those diagrams, then navigate through "the Samba" forums, and try to figure th...

"Air filter is fine. No mice remnants anywhere to be found. Hopefully I'll have some more time this weekend to tinker with it." Just to make sure... rodents like the far back right corner in side the fan tunnel. They come from the bottom or through the fan. There is no way to see this but ...

One more iteration on my search for the solution to this problem... I have smoked the carbs, installed, and found leaks in the cold start plate covers, they were bent. Also, my carb springs... one broken, one missing altogether!!! Answering the previous 2 posts: not sure in what part of the precess ...

Re: Choke cover leak - help!
Both covers were pretty bent. I heated them and with soft and small hammer and vice pressure, managed to get them quite close to flat, then a little sand and both look good now.

Choke cover leak - help!
So after 3 years of chasing an idle and low RPM issue, I got to the conclusion that it was related to a lack of fuel at that rpm range. Lack of fuel meant no power/stall until rpms reach 1300-1400, then all normal. I managed to eliminate the stall by pulling out the idle mixture screws way out of ra...

Re: 3D Printing Pinz Parts
it would be great to have the gear... but if it is a regular spur gear, a photocopy in any flie format would work.
Or measurements. I have not played with the gear extension of my CAD software yet.
Do you have the broken gear?

Re: 3D Printing Pinz Parts
I would love to get into that gear! Having said that, what material is the original, how many are needed, if it is just for one... Really worth the effort? I am not looking to make any $$ out of this, lets make it clear, I would just expect help in convering cost. But since I will donate my time, I ...

I am curious about what is actually needed in terms of parts that could be printed in plastic or TPU (Oil/Gas resistant rubber).
Someone mentioned the green lenses for the 4x4/DifLock panel, the horn button... anyone with ideas suggestions?

Original Swiss Reflector and Eberspacher BN4 BN 4 Heater parts
Gents, (Any lady driving a Pinz here?) My reflectors on my Pinz were burnt by sun and time. SAV offers a replacement but you have to drill new holes... not my type of thing. Therefore, I bought I set from the local hardware store and printed adapters to make them fit in the original Swiss frame. I h...
Re: Oil api
I would not worry into looking for the original oil equivalent. All modern oils well exceed the original requirements. I live in Atlanta, about 30F to 100F temp range... And I go between 20W40 and 20W50..
