Summer Travels

Well that's the Pinz painted again, all packed and ready for the summer travels. Staying in the UK this year but visiting the Scottish / English borders, attending the War and Peace show and then fossil hunting on the Jurassic coast. Returning home through Wales. Oh how I love the time spent camping...

Solar ventilator

We have been having some fairly warm weather in Scotland (you know we are not used to it being more than 20 C) So I have fitted a solar ventilator on the roof where the ariel mount was. Great thing is the one I bought was exactly the same size as the ariel mount so a really neat fit! Painted it look...

This thing about official military upgrades comes up from time to time. I don't think it is practical, or has been done, but there are certainly a couple of companies that have a scheme in place. Perhaps if you wanted a whole fleet of 100+ vehicles done then it would be a reality (at a cost) http://...

I had same, light would glow dim after using hand brake and fording water, switch contacts were the cause. It is easy to get at under the truck, clean it up and all should be well.

Where is the switch for the fluid level?

Trip in Scottish borders over the weekend, bit wet on Saturday for the road trip, brighter wintery weather on Sunday when we headed onto the hills.

Snow in the Scottish Borders

Went back to the mountain road by Talla Reservoir today in the Pinz. On Sunday I got my car stuck on the hill and it slipped into the ditch at the road side. Four of us took 2 hours to get it out without damage! Put the chains on the Pinz to tackle the hill. Pinzgauer managed no problem, probably wo...

Built by a Norwegian company, design in part by an Irish man, serving with the British army. That's a UK Pinzgauer in the video.

I'm sure anyone interested in Pinzgauers would be welcome, just give Dale a call. We'll be there with the 710K.

The 6x6 is no longer than a LR discovery, the 4x4 is tiny by todays big car and 4x4's standards, especially in width!

The knob on the dash is pulled all the way out to start the heater, half way out runs the fan only. The control on the heater is for temp. Pushed in is low, pulled out is high. The heater should start within about 20s after you pull the knob out, the fan runs straight away and the light on the dash ...
