Re: Can take some parts from Va. to LA via southern route.
Ah well let me restate that, NORMAL parts from regular sized 4x4's... no wheels that weigh 200lbs each or 300lb differentials.

Can take some parts from Va. to LA via southern route.
I had to come east for a family medical emergency, which has thankfully turned out for the better now. I'm going to head back after Christmas and will have enough room to carry something as big as a transmission/transfer or some wheels or some swivels.. etc. Going from western Va. south by Atlanta t...

Seeing that snow pic... I'd say driver visibility would be really horrible, maybe the worst ever.

Re: Looking for a good replacement positive battery terminal
Thanks I'll look for that.
I've tried a couple of brands from the audio market a few times and its always been really cheaply made and hasn't held up to corrosion and vibration well. I have a West Marine not too far down the road so that's my next try.

Looking for a good replacement positive battery terminal
I noticed my main battery positive terminal was allowing my 2g wire to loosen up a little. Was wondering if anyone has run across any nice aftermarket terminals (non chinese). I have installed some in the past on others trucks but there's so many on the market now and I'm looking for something new.

I heard the word bbq. Do you guys do sweet iced tea up there with your bbq or are things too British for that?TechMOGogy wrote:If I could pull up to one of my bbq competitions in that thing - just the intimidation factor would get me into the top 3

Re: Who Can Do Complete Pinzgauer Restorations?
Having been there I really don't think that anyone in the US can truly do what the factory can; they just have some amazing one-off tools and testing equipment there, including being able to dip complete bodies into baths. However you can definitely get some great work done by those mentioned and it...

Russian Hummer
Well I guess this is... interesting.? Looks like a lot of glass to be armored and that rear end is... odd. But what do I know? What is with Russian designers? This is from the company that built it but I'm not sure those are the words I'd use to describe it. "Zil claims the body was designed us...

Re: soft shackles
(This was mentioned before on here.) Like all tools, they have good points and bad. I'd carry both possibly but there is no fully replacing a (non-Chinese) metal one for many reasons, mostly having to do with sharp edges. Just because everything on your truck was made to work with rope doesn't mean ...
