Need a full battery box and door. Crushed mine...

On a recent SAR Mission I managed to bash in the bottom edge of my battery box and am in need of a new one (along with the roll cage from Andre to protect the next one...).

If you have a lead on one for sale, please let me know.

Thanks,
Ben

Welcome to the addiction. It’s hard to drive something else once you’ve driven a Pinz [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Re: 1972 Search & Rescue Pinz (*warning* picture heavy)

First time I have ever heard of a failure. Any photos? Same - I have never seen or heard of a body failure point. Perhaps it due to new larger tires and all the accessories people are putting on their rear doors/rear hinges? Not sure what caused it. The rear panels were really wobbly when I got it....

Chris’ spacer solutions was simple and brilliant. Leveled the Pinz out nicely. It’s been fantastic living fairly close to someone who has his experience and passion for these machines.

They fit and work much, much better. The others were definitely too big. The Coopers have been outstanding on snow so far. Really pleased with them.

Latest round of projects finished. Swapped the mud flaps out for custom shortened UHMW flaps and added another splash of red to carry the theme. Also flush mounted a KC HiLiTES cyclone LED in the spare tire as a third brake light. I still need to wire it in to the brake circuit. And switched the pin...

Mule did some, not all of the work. The overhead console we fabbed at my place and a buddy finish assembled and rhino lined it.

Re: Auxillary switch placement- What have you done?

I have some switches in a simple, home built, aluminum overhead console. The rest of my switching is through my siren head controller which has 9 programmable buttons in the handheld controller with the main body (Whalen HHS-2200) mounted behind the passenger seat. It’s 12v circuits so when it’s pow...

Re: 1972 Search & Rescue Pinz (*warning* picture heavy)

I added L-track to the cross members on my roof rack, added webbing to hold SAR packs in place, and mounted my antennas on quick release brackets that allow me to fold them down when not in use. I added a cap for the stock antenna mount and used some blue sea systems grommets to run my antenna cable...

New winter rims and tires

I put on a set of studded Cooper Discoverer STT Maxx for the winter in 255/80R17 (same size as my summer tires). I’ll report back on their performance after I get a few snow runs in. Note: I am running them on TR Beadlock rims and typically air down to 3-5psi in the snow which affects performance le...
