Re: Another Land Rover importing red-tape nightmare

I can't believe the Minis that have been imported over the last 10 years. A cursory search of eBay shows minis that OBVIOUSLY are newer years sold as 60's and 70's vintage vehicles. They were imported at some point

As were a lot of 71 Pinz's

Re: Coil spring spacers?

I wouldn't, would be too "tippy". Personally if you need that much lift, you need new or stiffer springs.

Re: Coil spring spacers?

If memory serves, if you need a 1"lift use a 1/2" slug on each side. I wish I could help more.

Re: Exhaust system

I had new flanges cut from 3/8" plate and made "shorty" headers (2 into one) used a really short muffler from NAPA. It exits just rear of the pass side step (TGB). Throaty, no more blown exhaust gaskets. It took away the heat factor from the fuel system,(using early 80's CIS system, f...

Re: Stainless Steel "Rear Exit" Mufflers in Production

A cat is just meant to do the final clean-up of the exhaust. A Pinz is just to "dirty" for that application. The cat would melt down internally and plug up. :(

Re: Espar BN4 heater fuel pump

Mike maybe it lost it's prime? I will check in the shop for the heater that came in my Volvo, similar gas type unit but heats water instead of air. If it has one it's yours.
