Dammit, it's not a Unimog

I went last weekend to Off Road Warehouse in San Diego and asked if they had some limiting straps I could use for the Pinz. The salesguy came outside and asked what type of Unimog it was. I told him what it was, and his response was that I was mistaken?! He showed his wealth of knowledge by telling ...

Make sure you have some kind of heating solution. I imagine you might want more than the Pinz provides stock.

Hand holding?

First of all, I'm stoked that so many tech resources are available on this site; I'm talking about the members, not the articles. I'm new to the community, I'll be showing up in a bright yellow Pinz with blue accents, some of you might have seen it before in the Lake Arrowhead area. I'll be bugging ...

Re: Calico

I also have emailed "Kai" some months ago and never got a reply, I did reserve a few spaces with Calico myself, Just hoping Kia and gang have enough food for the provided meals but I guess we will take extra on our own, (just being safe and perpared) like all pinz owners should be, would ...

Michael I find it hard to believe Kia has any spaces left on his reservations. I tend to believe that you need to reserve a space with Calico itself. You may want to email Alan Draper also.... he needs to pull more of his hair out too. Don't worry about it otherwise, it is an excellant event ...

What's on the agenda?

OK, I blindly signed up and sent my $$$ to Kai Serrano. My wife thinks I'm stupid (tough to argue) for not even knowing what the event is. Are people going to be reserving campsites when they get there. I was told by Kai "Michael the sites are first come first serve. They are all similar and cl...

Wheeling in San Diego

Anyone know of any good areas in San Diego to go wheeling / camping? The best place around (Los Coyotes) is shut down due to idiots trashing the place for too many years, and is now a horse back riding only place. I'm looking for moderate wheeling with good camping where I can take the kids.

I think that anyone who takes a 40K+ buck vehicle made out of recycled beer cans and coke bottles off road isn't smart.. One thing I like about the Pinz is the excellent visibility of the terrain thats being negotiated, in the H@ (or even an H1) you can't see much of anything in front of you.. Anyt...

State Farm

Just got my 710m insured through State Farm no problem. I have a couple of other vehicles insured through them, so i received a lower rate I believe.

Full coverage w/$500 deductible was $220 / 6 mos or $440 per year.
