That's looking awesome. :D

Bummer about the guy with the radiator, though.

Re: Buying a C304.

Well keep in mind Xtreme did the 39" tires too. In a 303 with the 5.whatever gearing in the axles, yeah, it's certainly feasible, I can attest to that. Please keep in mind, I have these tires because that's what was on it when I bought it. It wasn't my choice. I also managed to get the truck fo...

Re: Buying a C304.

Wow, who would have guessed that there would be such hostility toward a larger tire  Get a sense of humor & don't lecture me about stock in one breath and talk about hopping up a motor and doing a fuel injection conversion in the next because you sort of lose your high ground.....oh, and...

Re: Buying a C304.

I personally wouldn't trust that conversion any further than I could throw it. I have never actually seen a complete conversion on a Pinz, Mog or Volvo that I would trust in any way. If the whole rig is mostly a toy to tinker with, then maybe that kind of thing is fine but I use my trucks for real ...

Re: Buying a C304.

These things should never see 70. Pushing compression even higher will make you have to use 92 oct. fuel. It already needs 89 stock. I don't think you'd notice much difference anyway. The 30x series Volvos simply are not good highway cars and never will be unless you want to spend serious money for...

Re: Buying a C304.

Yes, it is quite a job, and yes, it's DOUBLING the amperage, so I'm going to be replacing all wires, relays, etc. Yes. All of them. (I realize what I'm getting into, if I go this route) I picked up a 420 watt 24v to 12v rectifier as well, as initially I was going to do just that - build a 12v circui...

Re: Buying a C304.

Other than the steering wheel, I haven't had TOO much trouble finding parts - it shares parts with volvo cars and Land Rover 109's pretty extensively. The steering wheel was admittedly a bizarre problem to have, but I bought mine from a bizarre midget artist for about half what I would have paid for...

Re: INSURANCE

Just reading through older threads and decided I'd toss this in for anyone else: Geico wound up insuring my C304 no problems, (Colorado) and I told them exactly what it was (military 6x6). If it's not on their "Do Not Insure" list, they will insure it no questions asked.

Re: Fuses

RockyMtn: Didn't heard if you ever got these, a lot of the auto parts stores up in colorado don't stock them for some reason, I have a large assortment of these style fuses if you need some spares.

Re: Volvo PARTS! "TATANKA PARTS"

Ordered from them shortly before Vince posted this thread, parts (brake pistons) arrived today and look great!

Awesome shop! I look forward to seeing what else he can get a hold of, since it first opened up several weeks ago, it looks like the inventory's been expanding pretty regularly!

Re: Intro from Malaysia - WR7002 - C304

I just noticed, yours IS a C304 length frame but two-axle only. I hadn't run across any like that before! Yours is the one my manual talks about, I need to find me a manual for my military C304 3 axle, because I've got wiring and buttons that aren't listed in the commercial manual. :D Keep up the go...

Yikes - that is a lot of rust. :(

Good luck repairing that! I'd give you a hand if I were over there. :D

I know the body is supposed to be alumizinc but that looks more like steel, is it?

Correction, grant 4405 does *NOT* fit, and apparently I messed up my measurements.

ohwell. At least I have a wheel coming.
