Re: Rear mounted winch with cable routed to the front end
Here are a few pictures of the rear mount which was done by Gut in Zurich, providing them with quite a few pics of the Pinz Cow for inspiration. http://i591.photobucket.com/albums/ss359/JanC25/DSC00487.jpg They did not build a complete "box" structure, which made the top part (holding the ...

Re: 710M Gas Pedal Foot, Leg Pain
I tend to get some numbness/mild pain in the ball of my right heel which tends to come and go for no reason after a few hours driving, whenever I drive for extended periods of time, and regardless of the vehicle. So in my case I don't think it is Pinz-related. Actually, with the more upright driving...

Re: Rear mounted winch with cable routed to the front end
This is a nifty, race-tested setup, but it does come at the expense of a lot of space in the rear cargo area. Having the winch attached to the body instead of the frame, I believe there is more modification than meets the eye. Same for the safe routing of winch rope to the front grille. I prefer hav...

Interesting! I found this on the steyr-motors website: http://www.steyr-motors.com/news/news-single/steyr-puch-revival-at-globetrotter-rodeo/990ca013ba0f73481c8b4085442fa2d3/ There is a brochure in english that describes the powerplant in the pack, but it looks like it is applied to an early diesel ...

That's under-doghouse porn at its best, thanks for sharing! The red covers are a nice touch.
Would be interested to know if you ever consider to come up with a kit, too.

Were the messenger bags issued to all soldiers to carry their paperwork in? Or only to specific messengers. What would they typically carry in the messenger bags? http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/5-used-swiss-military-surplus-messenger-bags?a=683724 They were issued to all soldiers, but...

regarding "relative silence"... This conversion should finally be able to answer where the bulk of the noise comes from. Many say the drive train vs the motor. Once this is converted we should be able to see just how much noise the drive train does make! Yes, the conversion should make it...

Stiffler, we will definitely offer a kit for the Pinz. Looking like it will be a nice fit with 84kWh on board. Count me among the interested followers for a conversion kit! :D I mean, I am a fan of gasoline as a fuel and displacement as a solution to all transportation problems (daily driver is a '...

Re: So im in Germany right now - Cologne actually
I live in the Southwest and sure see a lot of rocks and sand, just like I had imagined. But no Indians. I saw a red Pinzgauer in Zermatt, Switzerland one time, it was being used by the fire department. It looked like it was very well maintained. Other than that, I never saw another. There is not th...

Dreadnought, I went to RAF Fairford once in my life for the "Air Tattoo" back in 1992 (time flies!!!), the only time I saw an Avro Vulcan and a B-52 take off. My definition of "noisy" changed that day... Vince, is this the Shuttle that is on the deck of USS Intrepid in New York? ...

Thanks! They're 24-inch decals from military-graphics.com (http://www.military-graphics.com/badges3.html). The world needs more shark-toothed Pinzes!bbolander wrote:I like the graphics on your Pinz!

Re: 710M OEM type seat fabric
I believe finding similar fabric in rolls might be complicated. You could cannibalize swiss army bags. The "old" rucksacks tend to go up in price, but these (model 90) start to become available: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/used-swiss-m90-rucksack-olive-drab?a=864991 They o...

Re: rub rails
Reviving a thread here, as I had posted two years ago about my plans to replace my steel U-channel rub rails with rubber, in the same spirit as the factory rub rails on the TD Pinzgauers. I did just that last year, but never shared it here, and with a picture being worth a thousand words: http://i59...
