Re: Overdrive (again)
Beez, It's been working perfectly. I found out later on that the OD unit by way of serial number, was from a Volvo 740 Turbo. This had 180 HP! I found another off Ebay only a few K away (serial number) for $175 as a backup. So..... I'm not too concerned about robustness. I have an oversize sump and ...

I can't get anything past this crowd !! I know, I forgot the "e" !! ha ha
I'll do a write up on the EFI for those that are interested.
I have some extra cnc parts. It would be nice to refine this with another owner.

rmel,
I designed and fabricated a custom intake manifold with cylinders 2 and 3 crossed over to match the runners lengths of 1 and 4.

ITB Fuel Injection System
I've finished designing and building an independent throttle body injection and sequential ignition system. So far it's working great. I just have to finish tuning and get dyno results. More details to follow.

Re: Padlock for tool/battery box
These brass Masterlock's fit perfectly. No rattle, shackle is completely covered. It's like they are made for it. Good idea about covering the key hole!

Re: ECU/EFI adjustments Trail versus HWY
Ron, I'll send you a PM with my email address. I would love to see your tuning data. The actual VE numbers will not correlate necessarily but the ratios can be interpreted. Can't you simply change your target VE table to achieve the richer numbers and still run the closed loop to achieve mileage whe...

Re: ECU/EFI adjustments Trail versus HWY
Great info! Thanks. I've been tuning to achieve 14.7 under most conditions. I had no idea that I should go that rich. I have a Wideband up the tail-pipe as well as narrow-bands on all four cylinders, so I can see right away the mix. I would like to see your timing curve. I'm still having trouble wit...

I'm running the new Megasquirt 3 PRO. It's incredibly versatile for running fully a sequential ITB system.

Re: OIL-LEAKS: the pinz-bane
Along these lines. I have replaced my oil pan gasket twice with no luck. I first used 3M yellow weatherstrip and gasket maker; let it develop a skin and assembled, using moderate torque. Leaked like a sieve. All surfaces scraped and cleaned. Next, Permatex spray on gasket seal. Same results. Using S...

Re: Dizzy advance lockout
OK, I figured it out. Do not remove distributor. Remove points top plate (3 screws around the outside body). Remove weights and use shorter springs to lock
the shaft into static position. Remove vacuum line and block off port.
