Got to take the 712 out this weekend for a shake down. All went well, looking forward to next few weekends out with it one of which includes the SWPA Treffen.
I think it looks even better out away from the city.

Re: Will gas pinz doors and windshield frame fit on a diesel
not sure which if any of the gasser parts will or can be made to interchange with the diesels. I would look at the "M" series truck windshields if you decide to fab one up. they are flat and have the ability to open for better air flow. Should be able to adapt any flat windshield to truck ...

602 718 0052 and yes he is still making them. In the classified section of the SWPA www.swpinzgauer.org website is some of the stuff he makes. I have "tested" all of his armor/accessories out from front to back an it holds up great.

Re: did some remodeling of my 712M
rear bumper is holding up fine. The swing hinge is one that is used on a lot of tire carriers (shaft with wheel bearings). If by the nose you mean the front bumper, yeah I have a picture. This is one of Tim's front bumpers. Very solid 5X2 1/4 wall tube with 1/2 bull bars and schedule 40 upper pipe. ...

Re: Rear Locker Leak behind the Console
would be a good idea to change all those fittings at once. They are not very expensive and more than likely you are going to break another one trying to install the elbow. As the reservoir is higher than the master you will not get any air into the system if you are patient. On the other hand now wo...

Re: did some remodeling of my 712M
the top is quit easy. take a look at the roll bar corners. SDP did not over complicate the corner design which I copied for all the bows. As I said I put an extra on in to help support the lighter metal and give me more places to hold the roof rack. In this photo you can see that I have 3 bows betwe...

Re: did some remodeling of my 712M
The top I made back in feb of '05 at that time it had soft sides. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v721/6x6pinz/100_2643.jpg I used 1" sq tubing for the main runners between the roll bars and mid support. I used 3/4 sq tubing formed to match the roof curve. I chose to use 3 bars for each secti...

Re: did some remodeling of my 712M
Thanks, the angled windows took some time to grow on me but as time goes by I am liking them more and more The tires on my 712 are 285 75R Mickey Thompson MTZ's on the 8" widened steel rims. I ran the Interco Trxxs for a long time and would prefer them but they are difficult to find at times in...

Re: Interior wheel boot
I hesitate typing this as extreme care must be used but what we do is carefully put the bump stop and retainer ring back in place. Clean all and give it a few little tack welds with a mig welder. These were originally stuck in place with yellow loctite and are prone to coming out. Care must be used ...

sounds like what you are looking for is something like this only for a small cooler. I made this for those times when you knew you were going to be out longer than the fuel onboard was not enough but did not want to carry the extra can all the time. I also have a table that works much the same for t...

The "Backway to Crown King trail" is in most offroad books of AZ and has been covered extensively on the web. We will be using this trail to get to the campsite. If you pm me your email address I can send you a link to google earth which shows the campsite and the trail to get there. Here ...

This year we are doing a remote site in the forest. For those coming in from out of town it would be great if they could contact Brad president SWPS (number above) and set up a meet time on a major highway. The LL coordinates are +34.1330 -112.3813 For those familiar with this area this is off the b...

Mark, I almost put one of your pictures up as an example, glad you chimed in. You should show the inside.
