I attempted to purchase this vehicle awhile back, McCall Pinz went and looked at it for me. However the seller, very nice older gentlemen, was not willing to deal on price, which was more than currently listed for.

Still love the thing, but not as much as my C303.

Any interest? Willing to work on price for sure.

I could see how it could get messed-up/difficult very easly with DMV. Having done it a few times worked in my favor.

I would never try anything over a 1975 though.

I brought a 1975 Volvo into CA, with no problems at all. Very easy transaction at DMV. Now if it was a 1976, that would be a different story.

I have a non-factory, custom, fake bed lock wheel. It came with mine, I don't have a need for it. Looks cool:)

If you are using 24v still, you can't go wrong with the tail lights from Rhino Truck Parts, they were to me in less than a week and are amazing!

MJ - under the passenger side rear wheel on the inside of the frame is the rear wiring junction box. Pop the cover off and check if you are getting power to there from the cab. The wires should all be numbered, it is super easy to just pull the rear brake light cover off, check the wire number, pop ...

Ian, thanks. That answered the question, no way you could run without the seal/boot. Do you still run yours with the small tear?

Ian, thank you for the response. In talking with the gentlemen at RCV he said that a boot was not required any longer. I will call back and confirm this information.

I thought if it was that easy, everyone would do it. Guess it is time to order some new boots.

FMV or Tanaka?

The CV boot on my C303 has a slight tear in it. I noticed that a majority of everyone is replacing theirs with a boot from either FMV or Tanaka.
