Re: Factory Seat Straps

I would love to hear more about that custom tool. I am replacing my straps while dealing with some hand/medical issues and they have been kicking my tail. Thanks, Joe

Valve Adjustment After Pinz SSI

Getting ready to do a full tune-up and was wondering how you guys find TDC after you have the SSI installed. I always used the distributor head before I added the SSI. Can I use the LED light on the module? Suggestions appreciated. - Buzz

Re: Clutch not disengaging

I had a similar problem recently. I did both the Master and the slave. It was the Master that really needed it. When I got inside, it looked it may have been the original parts from 1974!

Re: How's this look

I agree with the other posts here. I would like to see some pictures of the engine as well. From here I would check the operation of the starter - some can fail to mesh every few attempts. Then I would check shifting/ clutch operation and braking. Lastly, I would check operation of the lockers and o...

Re: Front suspension bangs

I would add that bad shocks can lead to unexpected issues depending on your year of production. I had the early production shock bolt and retention strap set up with a bolt on each side to hold the shock and strap independently. Long story short you can break those bolts and be faced with a long and...

Left front turn signal

For some time, I have had a problem with the left front turn signal not operating when all others were fine. The bulb has been tested. No power at the socket. I also replaced the Swiss turn signal switch with an Austrian one and then the signal began working. Happy Days! Now, I've noticed its out ag...

Re: WIndow Retainer Strap

FWIW, I bought the leather from Tandy and made it up with a hole punch and pop rivets. Both sides. Same for the tabs around the top of my 710M. A fun easy project.

I would be interested. For me, the drums are the weakest part of the original design.
