McMaster-Carr sells leather in 1" wide strips in various thicknesses. The chrome tanned is a grayish green color.

Kevin, The specs on those NAPA shocks are about as close to stock as any shocks I've seen. From my measurements the stock shocks are as follows: Collapsed 13 1/4 Extended 20 7/8 Travel 7 5/8 I don't think the additional 1/8" travel on the NAPA's will give you any problems but someone else here ...

I always start by cleaning the oil and grease off so I can be sure where the leak is coming from. Oil really likes to migrate around and can really throw you off.

I haven't done one but I think Paul Underwood has - maybe he'll chime in here.

I'm thinking that since it's described as a split seal that maybe only the retaining ring has to be loosened and slid out of the way to replace the seal :?:
