For Sale: Pinz Red Brake Light Conversion
I came across the following items that SAV used to sell for converting the original Pinz tail lights from single to dual filament for those that prefer operational red brake lights. Instructions: Pinz Brake Light Conversion.pdf Photos of the hardware: IMG_1159.jpeg IMG_1160.jpeg IMG_1161.jpeg $60.00...

Re: Truck died
Another possible issue to consider with the fuel delivery is that if the fuel line from the tank to the pump is old, dry and cracked, air will leak in as the pump is trying to prime itself. Sometimes just replacing the rubber fuel lines can make a considerable difference. Glad you're back on the road!

Re: Remaining fuel at the R mark?
It seems to vary from truck to truck depending on the condition of the sender, gauge and wiring. When all is working well it is supposed to be about 5 gallons.

Re: FAT FAB Eastern/Mid West, Spring service tour 2022
We bid farewell to Andre and Chris yesterday afternoon after a very educational, successful and enjoyable service stop of his Eastern tour at our farm in Wisconsin. I watched Andre work his magic skills on another owners' Pinzgauer, doing both servicing and fabricating. Great fun! And my 710M has ne...

I've always done R/R, L/R, R/F, L/F. Has worked for me but that doesn't mean I'm correct.

Re: Fuel pump replacement.
I've never tried the Carter pump but have used a few of the pumps from SAV and found them to be worth the expense. Possibly a good time to replace your fuel hoses too if you haven't already done so.

Re: 710m rear springs
rmel is correct about those bushings. I chose to press out the old bushings from the original shocks, gave them a good cleaning and then re-used them rather than use the thinner walled ones provided. That may not have been the correct path to take, but it did work for me. They are very good shocks i...

Re: Anyone tried the Victron 24-12v converters?
The smaller Eaton (Surepower) units seem to be well made. I have them in both my 710M and 230GE. A bit pricey but very stable. Made in China though.

The smaller model you show looks like the one that Willie (SAV) is using for their 230GE Ignition Conversion kit.

Re: Stiffer wiper springs?
A common problem for me too. I tried playing with the spring, also bought new arms. Neither really solved it. Finally just switched to cheaper, poorer quality blades with less pre-load. That works better but not the real solution we'd prefer.

Yes, I saw that same fb post and that was the first I had heard of that problem. But, I'm always learning so it is a possibility worth exploring if attention to the bushings doesn't solve the problem.

Re: Bumper mount water ingress solution?
I've had 5 710M's and have never experienced this. I've removed bumpers on 4 of them and either replaced with custom or stock bumpers after painting, etc. Maybe I've just been lucky ? My first thought would be to tighten the bolt further to snug up the rubber bushing or replace if they are hard. I'd...

I have a set of Thilo's on my 710M from 10+ years ago and they have held up very well. The pictured ones are definitely identical to Thilo's that I have.

Re: Puch LED headlights
On my 230GE, I liked the beam pattern of the original reflectors so I just replaced the bulbs with LED bulbs. I think it was about $100 and I'm happy with the results.
On the 710M I replaced the entire headlight with Truck Lite units.
