Re: WTB

I can't think of any Haffy owners that far north ( I'm sure there is, and don't remember :? ), but there are several Pinzes in NY, NJ, PA, MA , plus a Pinz dealer in eastern Canada, and another that has them sometimes in RI. Join the Yahoo Haffy group ( if you haven't already), it gets a lot more po...

The BBS was the predecessor to this forum. As you can read, the BBS crashed in 2000, with all earlier data lost. The BBS then crashed in late 2003, at least twice(iirc). Then this forum replaced it in early '04 ( with it's hacks and crashes). In 2003, the Pinz readings, were the Pinzgauer Yahoo grou...

Why would you use a Pinz for drive by terror? They are slow, stick out like a sore thumb, and are not bullet proof! Why worry? It's supplied by the government. If it was bullet proof, it would only be slower, and would only be good if you had friends to save you when it was immobilized, then you mi...

Be a little more specific on your location. Knowing a city and state helps zero-in on the region..... also if you put it in your profile, it also makes it easier for someone to diagnose a problem, that could be climate related, once you find a vehicle.

Erick, Go to this link. Mozo 1 had both those items before Theo had even bought his first Pinz. ( he was going to look at my 710, before his association with SCP)

Unfortunately, I don't seem to remember a Thomas ( with SCP?)

Denis
If time permits, you may want to come down to Calico Mogfest next week. You're only 300 miles away. I'm sure it will like rush hour on a Los Angeles freeway with Euro MVs( Mogs, Pinzes, Haffies....Supacat). 8)
I'll be there Thurs in space A23.

Cheers

A posting from the Moglist I just talked to Tony the-T-shirt-Pimp Koch and the event shirts are ready to print. He assures me that these are going to be some MANLY event shirts; no pastels, no rainbows, just manly Mogs and rough and tumble western machismo. ARRGHH! For the last seven years (I think)...

this is why I asked why they didn't just use the 716 transfor case. It seems it would of helped, with some of the problems. I'm still having computer problems or user problems  so I am thumb typing on my ipod it's getting real frustrating. OK Erik Now I understand what you were heading towar...

3400 is low for a TDI, in the Supacat, max hp is at 4000, and max engine speed is 5200 ( in most other apps, I think they redline in the mid 4s). If "unmolested", the trans will have a dataplate with the gear ratios, and the T case should have a stamping in it too, with it's application. I...

As SDP had put TD and later TDI into the Pinzes, they knew back in the late '70s that they had to reverse the whole drivetrain and stretch the engine bay for a diesel to fit. The 1.9TDI as fitted to the Supacat is 78 bhp, and I seem to remember apps at 111 bhp. The 2.4TD engines were 105hp. IRRC The...

. . Remember I pm'ed you a couple of months ago asking questions, about what they were doing. also they changed the third gear out and making it an over drive in the stock trans. looks like they made the nightmare a reality. Now red bull 712 is doing the clean up. Swapping out 3rd gear had been bou...

This is a Pinz forum and I was addressing a problem with a Pinz....I could go into the upteen number of years each manufacturer has had engineering problems ... then add into it the aftermarket "reengineering" wizards that stress factory components beyond their limits, then hand the keys o...
