Same as Twin Pinzies but also replaced the tailights with much more visible units with tail, stop & turn signal.
Also bought all 3 manuals and got to know them a bit.

Have fun!

Gear selector shaft

Although I've never had this part completely removed I have worked on both ends of it. On the gear shift lever end I have used SAV repair kit (SAV6596) to rebuild the pivot for smoother shifting. I did not bother to remove the slotted roll pin but to do so I imagine it would be easiest to drop the e...

The shipping would probably be too expensive but this wheel cover has worked well for me:

They are made by Seats, Inc. and are from their Trimline seats. They have some of the optional features included like Tuff-Tex cloth instead of vinyl, infinite backrest adjustment and 2-way adjustment for lumbar. They also have the headrests. http://www.seatsinc.com/ngp/!slmenu_template.main?complex...

I've used gun oil and also 3-in-1. Both made a major difference but I think gun oil is probably the best.

It seems no matter what I do, the choke is never as smooth as I've experienced in other equipment. Perhaps, like michaelh712 said, the chokes themselves are tight.

Bosch Blue Coil

Okay, so I know it's out there but I can't seem to find it.
Can someone please provide the part number for the correct Bosch Blue coil?
I found one made in Brazil with part number 9220081083 but there seem to be others available also.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

The piston is located in the cylinder in front of the locker lever. I don't think it's likely that heating the cylinder would release the piston. If you have a parts manual, the drawing of Group 07-15 should help you. If the rear locker is still engaged I think you can probably release it by opening...

Thanks for the detailed info on that repair. I've got a top that needs the exact same treatment and I've been putting it off for too long. Maybe now that you've been successful I'll give it a go.

Two chains wil fit in the largest USPS Priority Mail flat rate box which I think ships for $15 anywhere in the US. The box is free at the post office.

I've used 3M automotive body and trim double-sided tape, It comes in various widths and lengths. Most body shop suppliers carry it and it's also on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002MOCZ46/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_...

Morris,

I'm glad to hear everything went well. Nice that you didn't have to replace the bolts as they are a bit pricey.

Hope you like the ride as much as I do.
