712s are geared 12% lower than 710, if I remember correctly. 88kph vs 100kph. My 712 runs happiest at about 50 mph as per my GPS. I've run it to about 60- 65 on the highway, but it's noisier.

I've gotten nearly 15mph on highway, with a tailwind!

I made up a set for a 712 from 2x stock salvaged from an old deck. It was green treated, straight grained, and dry. Cut them and painted them black and they looked really nice. Lots of drilling!!
