Heaps of Land Rivers have been converted to Volvo axles, and many of them are running coils. That set up shouldn't be too hard.

I need to resolve the same issue myself and will be visiting one of the local bearing suppliers to see if I can get matched seals. I imagine ...

Isn't full hydraulic steering illegal for road use? I thought the regulations required a mechanical connection, which doesn't exist in the hydraulic systems.
It's fine for competition trucks which are not road registered.
