Re: Thoughts on 12V on a TGB
Another disadvantage is that it looks to be $700+. You will end up spending $700 quickly in burnt up 24/12V converters etc. I have gone through so many over the years it’s crazy. I have tried expensive ones and cheap ones. They all seem to fail eventually. The Eaton is rock solid though. I will say...

Re: Thoughts on 12V on a TGB
I simply ran my Eaton 12V output to a fuse box with a 24V relay in place of the 12V relay. So you use 24V signal to turn on the relay but you only run 12V through the power side of the relay. That then distributed to the individually fused circuits.

Re: Volvo B30
I go out and hand turn this engine every 2 weeks. Eventually I’m going to start neglecting it.
Maybe I should do a full restoration on it and sell it for a premium?

Re: Volvo B30
That’s correct, it came out of my C303. Last time I borescoped the cylinders it still had hatch marks on the cylinder walls from its last build. And Jim, I have a box that I started for collecting up all the misc pieces I have so you can have your pick of the liter. Just need a bit more time to get ...

Volvo B30
Need to get this engine out of the drive way. Engine should be in good shape but I can perform a compression test on it before sale. Ended up having a ton of water in my fuel and pulled this engine mostly because I wanted to swap in a different engine. Engine will come with most if not all parts nee...

Re: Power Steering Conversion
Finally getting around to the final bracket to hold the PSC power steering reservoir. This places the reservoir on the brace that holds the throttle link rod setup. The reservoir is accessible through the center engine cover and is to the passenger side. I’m not sure if this will work for a stock ga...

Re: Shocks
This seemed as good of a place as any Gabriel Gas SLX adjustable shocks modified for the TGB11. Part 89409. Ride is very controlled and more appropriate for the parabolic springs. Not a 100% perfect fit but they do the job well. The bushings are the correct size, the only modification needed is to c...

Re: Power Steering Conversion
Ok, so my situation is slightly unique due to the Cummins engine. But with the parts listed below you should be able to figure out the rest. Please forgive typos etc. as I’m doing this quickly Here is a quick run down of what to do. Follow the instructions that come with the hoses etc. 1. Measure tr...

Re: Power Steering Conversion
Gotcha, I have shipped a fair bit between the states and Australia. I would think you could get all the parts from a US retailer and have them shipped to you. Parts Geek sells the valve And PSC direct or Poly Performance for the rest of the parts I assume you can use a standard rover PS pump for the...

Re: Power Steering Conversion
Where are you located? All the parts I used are brand new bought online. Aside from som small hardware and power steering fluid it’s all order and fit yourself. Now I did have access to a lathe that made things fast and easy and cheaper of course.

Re: Power Steering Conversion
This setup mostly preserves the stock steering. It’s probably an ideal situation for you. There is an alternative alive to the corvette which I would suggest you look at though. It’s a Garrison type valve and I wish I had gone that direction. It was found on old for pickups and such. You can buy the...
