Yellow one was an Austrian model. The cage was bright blue (what wasn't rusted anyway). They both looked fairly neglected in person.

The other one was bright red (doesn't look that way in the pic).

Spotted: 2 Pinzies in Park City, UT

I'm in Park City for a Glock armorer's school. Was headed to dinner and spotted 2 Pinzies. Both are 712's. One looks like a M converted to a K. The other looks to be an original K. Both have graphics for Park City TV. Only have my cell phone with me. I'll try to get the pics uploaded.

I can't remember who, but I have seen pics of a rack that mounted them vertically right behind the driver's door. Looked like a nice idea.

Upper Door Frames. Different versions?

Took a look at JacksonPinz's truck the other day. His door tops look like brand new. They have nice rounded corners (inside the window frame) with rolled beads. Mine are squared off and are simply flat steel strips welded together. Is the more "refined" version just a later production, or ...

Just did this a day or two ago. Black 3M. Worked very well. It wasn't a bad job at all. Really makes a big difference in the seal and appearance.

Dang John, Sorry to hear this. I had a '75 Jeep CJ that started doing this on me. I replaced the coil and it was fine after that.

Wonder if there could be a chain reaction type thing going on? Module went bad, took the coil and the ignitor with it?

Swiss. My upper doors halves have a bit of rust, but only a couple pin holes I am in the process of repairing. Both rear body panels had small areas of rust through, so I bought NOS ones from SAV. No rust anywhere on the body itself, so I am assuming it was replaced sometime in the 80's.

I ended up gluing the strip to the truck. 3M adhesive works really well. Doesn't seem to be the most durable material. My old strip had turned brittle and was "eroded" away back to the seam. I'll try to keep some 303 Protectant on the new one and see how long it lasts.

Installing windshield to cowel gasket

Gasket...Check

3M Black Weatherstrip adhesive...Check

Should I glue the gasket to the cowl, or the gasket to the windshield frame? Mine was glued to both which doesn't make sense if you ever want to fold it down.

Also how do you apply the glue to the surfaces? Fingers? Popsicle sticks?
