Re: 2012 Mogfest - are we there yet ?! :-)
I'll be there with the kids... probably driving a Camry. I just installed a lift and lockers on it, so it should be able to hang...
If anyone needs some kiddy passengers, I've got volunteers. Sadly, I have two 4 wheelers at my house and can't bring either one.

I just got the weekend off, I'll be showing up sans 4x4 for hanging out with the crowd! Is there anyone tent camping that wants to share a site?

Ramona Motors going away this month- anyone got a job for me
Well... I give up. Ramona Motors will be no more by the end of the month. I'm tired of losing money every month trying to keep the place open; my savings are gone, my sanity is on the way. If anyone needs a car from my inventory, now is the last time. BTW, if anyone is looking for an outstanding IT ...

Re: Tour company crash injures at least one (Pinzgauer)
"Andrews on Thursday said the crash involved just seven people. Just one person, a 20-year-old woman, suffered a hand injury and all others continued on the tour, he added. According to Andrews, the vehicle began rolling backward, around 3 mph, after the driver apparently didn't shift the gear...

Re: Speed upgrades?
Going that fast in a vehicle designed to top out around 55-60 MPH will also wear out certain items VERY quickly. Hub seals, tranny seals, brakes will all wear out quickly when overtaxing them in the capacity that you're suggesting Michael if you truly believe this the same would apply to the 716/71...

Re: Speed upgrades?
Getting a Pinzi to do 80 would not just be a dangerous undertaking, it would defeat the whole point. Pinzgauers are definitely vehicles for folks who want to be seen, whether they admit it or not. Besides the safety issues that have been beat to death, there's another issue that noone has ...

Re: $45K 710M?
We sold a 710M a few years back that was built by Jim Laguardia with the 2.7 and injected (not to mention disc brakes and a bunch of other goodies) Anyway, this was definitely the fastest Pinz I've had the pleasure of driving. It felt about the same as a Honda Civic (non- Vtec) and it was awfully ni...
