Re: Engine wanted
Jim, I’m not sure if you have my number, not sure we have ever talked in person. But feel free to PM or email me and we can talk or text directly. I can send pics of anything you want or even face time if you have an iPhone.

Re: Engine wanted
What kills me is how many people think it’s a good idea to cut off a 13,000lbs truck like my 1300l. I drive extremely defensively so these people rarely pose a hazard, but I do on occasion like to inch up on them at a stop light right after they cut me off and remind them how bad their decision coul...

Engine C303 B30 complete
I have a B30 I wanted to offer up here before I put it on EBay. It ran perfectly until just before I pulled it. I either had water in my gas (confirmed) or worst case a head gasket blown while towing. I can check compression for anyone seriously interested. The engine will come with a full Patton Fu...

Re: Engine wanted
There is no doubt that the stopping distance on the TGB series trucks is not up to modern standards and great care should be taken to avoid emergency braking. The reality though is that the C303 has enough braking power to lock up the tires at high speeds. So take that for what it is worth to you. T...

Re: Engine wanted
Downloaded Tapatalk and immediately deleted it. I’m pretty sure I did the same thing back a few years ago when it first came out. I’m not up for the social media style posting etc. I prefer my forums like I prefer my trucks, Old looking but still running great.

Re: Engine wanted
Went back to upload photos, but I apparently need to resize all the photos since IPhone photos are to big.

Re: Engine wanted
So I looked it up and I have the 5:1 gear set. I’m running a 33-34” tire No brake mods have been done, I have never really felt the brakes to be lacking in the 303 so long as they are in good condition My drive train is stock from the flywheel back. This includes the bellhousing, clutch, throw out b...

Re: Engine wanted
This site doesn’t allow pictures to be directly uploaded right? Noise level is similar or even quieter than stock minus the intake noise. I haven’t installed an intake silencer box yet so the filter is fairly loud. I am looking at installing a Donaldson filter box to silence the intake. I haven’t ta...

Re: Engine wanted
I have a set of the gears previously available from House of the Flying spanners. Same ones I believe Kamo is selling now. of course their website appears down now as well. Hopefully they just forgot to pay the server bill. I don’t specifically recall the ratio, but it’s the only set around from wha...

U-Joints
Call me lazy, but I’m not finding anything with search and it’s cold so I’m not interested in going to measure. Best I recall is that the C303 use the same u-joint as a rover, am I remembering that right. I swear I rebuilt my front shaft, but I can’t recall what I used.

Re: Flying Spanners - the 5.1's
Or have both a Volvo and a Unimog. I have three mog’s to keep my Volvo company and to keep me from doing something stupid with the Volvo.

Re: Flying Spanners - the 5.1's
37” tires would achieve the same results without changing gears. But anything over 35” is to big for the C303’s cosmetics in my opinion.

Re: Flying Spanners - the 5.1's
So...I can’t give a totally fair review since I also changed engines. But I can say the gears from flying spanners are great. Too bad they appear to have closed their doors. But I think the Croatian companies are made at the same shop. The gears are quiet and build into the diff nicely. The increase...

Re: Engine wanted
Yeah, Photo Bucket really went overboard. Them locking down Tinypic was a huge knock on many threads across the internet.
I will eventually create another video and try to show the performance of the truck. Hopefully My buddy is going to duplicate my efforts in 2020 so we can get some good info.

Re: Engine wanted
So...wow machine shop took their sweet A$$ time. Finally got revised parts back late last week. Assembled everything again and she is back up and running better than before. Changes took care of some alignment issues between the transmission and engine due to differences in bellhousing I had availab...
