Re: ARB 24v air compressor install

What diameter of braided line is that? Some have really small internal diameters. Don't want to make it any harder for the compressor to do its job then is necessary.

Re: Hyde Ho

Here are a couple of updated photos of those wheels installed on a Pinz. Also I reweighed them on a better scale and they are 38 lbs vs 32 lbs for the Transit wheel. I don't have a original Pinz wheel on hand to reweigh as a comparison.

Re: KLUGEWERKS Disc Brake Conversion Kit Updates

You already have vented... You just need the dual front calipers on your disc set up for it to work better. The dual calipers allow the brake system to work with lower pressures because there is twice the pad area to do the stopping on the front wheels. So less pressure required / better brake pedal...

Re: KLUGEWERKS Disc Brake Conversion Kit Updates

I suppose the vents could get plugged - but I don't think its very likely. Also - these are the straight type vents (as opposed to the curved versions) which would make cleaning them out easier I would think.

The same disc is used on all wheel positions BTW.

Re: KLUGEWERKS Disc Brake Conversion Kit Updates

Got the first production batch of vented rotors for the disc brake conversion kits Vented Disc Brake 22MAR2018.jpg The thickness increases to 0.640" / 16.2 mm which is 25% thicker - but the weight of the vented disc decreases by about 15%. Original solid discs are 0.510 / 13mm thick. The existi...

There is an Ebay seller who has "new" 8.25-16 michelins for sale but with a date code of 2008 - $235 each plus freight shipping from Virginia. I thinks these where surplus US military and stored indoors. https://www.ebay.com/itm/8-25R16XZL-8Ply-New-Michelin-Tires-Military-Surplus/263094551...

Re: Gwagen development video!

Yes - all very high tech... I like the guy smoking his pipe in the computer room. The starting music was pretty good but not quite a match to the Pinzgauer video.

Several of the G's in the video have the Pinzgauer style sliding windows - never saw that on a G before.

Re: Occasional drivetrain noise I can't figure out

The clunk noise might be coming from the motormount - there is a steel pin inside of it which limits movement - there was a thread about modifying by adding a piece of rubber hose to it or something...

Do you know if the throw out bearing was changed?

Re: Hyde Ho

These weigh 40 lbs per wheel - the transit wheel weighs 32 lbs but is 6.5 inches vs 8 inches. The center plate is 22 lbs of steel. I made a set up in 3/8" steel for myself to test out also. It would be possible to take a few lbs of steel out by adding more cutouts / holes in the plate as well. ...

Re: Hyde Ho

I like the paint job and the reinforced front support - looks very stout! What are the two "horns" at each end of the front bumper for? I think the new tires you got are actually 33x9.5-16 and not 12.5 wide though? The SX2-50 tires I was just mentioning in the other thread - right? Looking...

Re: Super Swampers 34x9/16...how low on stock wheels?

I think for the stock and Transit wheels (both are 6.5" wide) the narrow TSL 34x9/16 is a good choice since it is spec'd for a 7" wide wheel. The new SX2-50 is spec'd for an 8" wheel and I wonder if the tread would end up being too rounded when mounted on a 6.5" wide wheel. The S...

Would it be possible to have the "new posts" button be easier to access on the main page and not only accessed under the quick menu header?

Other than that I think its great!
