Ohio 712M Buildup

If I'd had any sense at the beginning I would have created one thread and just lumped all the nonsense I've been posting in it, instead of posting willy-nilly. I wonder if there's a way to gather up those posts and relocate them here? Anyway.... This is my junk that will be/is sucking up my money. -...

Re: Doetsch tech shocks

Has anyone looked into Fox 2.0 smoothies? I had them on my van (attached) and fr as long as I had it they were golden. If you use the right seller you can provide them with the specifics f your ride like total weight, weight on each axle, and intended usage, and they will tune them for that before t...

Re: Sudden poor performance

The brown plastic tube is a vacuum line that runs from a fitting on the driver's side of the engine to a fitting on the underside of the distributor. It is not a vacuum advance. It’s purpose was to pull any buildup of moisture out of the distributor. The civilian kits came from 3 or more sources an...

Re: Sudden poor performance

I’m wondering if someone far. More knowledgeable than I might take a closer look at this last photo I posted. Obviously there’s the distributor and coil, and on the other side of the engine plug wires with normal rubber boots on the ends vs what EI sells with their kits. I’m assuming this one came f...

Re: Sudden poor performance

Success! Sort of? I decided to dig into this a bit more today. Checked the fuel shutoff solenoids and all had 24-ish volts and all made nice clicky noises when reconnecting. Plug wires all seemed secure and in good condition, at both ends. Coil had about 23-ish volts when cranking and 18 volts runni...

The bog is very very slight, barely there. I may do the carb rebuild thing but right now I’d rather entertain the idea of a FI setup.

Sudden poor performance

As in running great, downshift (fairly high resulting rpm), running bad. Just that quick. It "feels" like she's missing or maybe running on less than 4 cylinders now. She pops a bit sitting and idling, but when I stab the throttle (parked in neutral) there is a very very slight bog but it ...

Took the dog house off for the first time today. I'm assuming these are breathers, and I'm assuming they aren't factory. Would that be a reasonable assumption? And why did it rotate my picture?

Re: New Tuff River

About 2-ish weeks ago, but it wasn’t so much placing an order as being willing to take the last thing he had on his shelf. It was an incomplete top he offered to complete and let me have. To the best of my knowledge it’s the last one he plans to do due to physical issues.

New Tuff River

My new Tuff River top shipped yesterday. No more ripped leaky roof! Now I have to design/build a removable hard top so I can have it all. :)

IMG_1421.JPG Drivers side of my "recently adjusted" front brakes. The passenger side was only better in the sense that the pads were worn quite as close to non-existence as the drivers side. At least 2 of the 4 wheel cylinders were leaking, and half the adjuster wheels had their teeth bea...
