Carburetor acceleration pumps trouble
Again back to my carbs. Truck is running rich, due to low power, stumbling, out of idle. I can't load the engine without pumping the throttle and revving it up before releasing clutch. Only way to alleviate problem is to pull out the idle screws out about 3 to 4 turns, which make other problems, lik...

Propane Conversion
Guys, I am offering my propane conversion kit to anyone interested. I ran my 710K on propane for 7 years, and was a lot of fun. Saved money on certain times, not much on others, but the project was fun. I am back on gas, just because with my kids and dog, I want the space. (The propane tanks take so...

Electric AC from electric cars for PINZs
I was looking around the web for info on what the new electric cars are using for AC systems. I would assume the electric compressors must be quite efficient. I could not find any info on Amps/Watts on a (lets say) a Nissan Leaf compressor. They are apparently made by Panasonic. I looked at options,...

Solved most of problem!
Ok, trying to fix the lean condition on the first cylinder, I fixed by 90% my low rpm power problems. The engine almost does not stall anymore on loading it at low RPM. It was a bad setting of the idle mixture screws. I followed the Pinz manual procedures instead of an old post on this forum, and it...

Re: Oh no!! Lean cylinder!!!!
I pulled the plugs and they look all about the same... kind of nice color. Here is a pic: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6pvSZYIW1mUM1cwNTViMzFuOHc Isn't the brake vacuum and distributor vacuum sourced from the front cylinder manifold? Could I have a leak or just too much vacuum lost in the dist...

Oh no!! Lean cylinder!!!!
So I am dealing with two issues: 1- Backfiring on deceleration/engine braking 2- Engine stalls or does not produce power at low RPM. (need to rev up to 1500-1800 RPM before I can load) So addressing 1, I took the exhaust manifolds down to inspect/replace the gaskets. And guess what!!! Nbr 2, 3 and 4...

Fixed my original fuel sender...
I ran my truck on propane since from 2006 (previous owner did conversion) until last year. Now that I started using my gas tank again, I wanted to fix the fuel gauge. Testing as described in other posts proved that the instrument on the panel was working correctly, but sender was not. I started meas...

Re: Eberspacher heater cable dont know where it goes.
Many thanks for the replies! quite useful info. I should print these and put them in my truck library. But still can't figure it out. Why are there 3 relays in the back of the heater, when all heater references point to only one? Why the Pinz has other two relays?

Re: Eberspacher heater cable dont know where it goes.
Hello Paul,
It is a BN4, installed in my 1975 710K, right behind the seat.
It has three relays installed right behind the heater.
Thank you,
Jeronimo

Eberspacher heater cable dont know where it goes.
Anyone care to check on their truck where on the eberspacher heater this brown cable goes? Looking at the three relays screwed to the truck frame, this cable comes from the RIGHT side of the CENTER relay and goes... Where? I do have the wiring dont have one for the eberspacher to correlate all cable...
