I would doubt it, but don't know for sure. In the 710/ 12 case, it is drilled for a different

Tank School Pinz,
Is this the sister to your Pinz? There were 3 for sale. Depending on your plans for your truck, you could remove the air suspension

Re: 710/712 Transfer case into 718

Simple, The t cases are not interchangeable between gas and diesel Pinzes.
The 710/12 and the 716/18 are mirrored in mounting.

Re: Manual for Pinzgauer 718 ?

Howdy, and welcome to the forum. First off, your pic didn't come through. And from your description of a 718K with a rear air suspension, I am assuming you bought one of those fire 718K's being auction off several months back. Rear air suspension was not a standard option on a 6x6 but was on all 716...

Re: The Ex USA Demo 716

Well, we have a difference of Pinzes and mirrors. Back in '02 when I got my Pinz, most single mount mirrors were the smaller glass mirror and the 2 point mount were the UK style polished stainless mirrors, At the same time, my 101 Vampire had the UK style (naturally  ). And oddly enough, I hav...

Re: The Ex USA Demo 716

BTW, this Pinz was all RAL white and no winch, but with the extra side windows. It obviously had somewhat of a rough time in the UK, as it show panels on the rear doors indicating rust-through and sports those ugly oversize UK mirrors

Re: The Ex USA Demo 716

AAAh, so it finally surfaces ! It actual was not an demonstrator but rather an example for Federal/CARB emission ( and DOT?) testing. SDP brought 2 716K into the USA (California) for federal/state testing. One was an automatic and the other was a 5 speed (for testing, the US required all applied var...

Re: ATL Pinzgauer 718K TUM(HD) 6x6 FFR (aka The Green Grail)

Why don't you just shoot yourself in the foot? Fix your mechanical issues first. Then look at tires, if they are 34 ", then probably are 8.25s, that is too tall . Your top speed and ability to get there WILL suffer. I didn't realize any Porsche rims fit the TD pattern, but did the gasser...

Re: ATL Pinzgauer 718K TUM(HD) 6x6 FFR (aka The Green Grail)

Tires are BFG Mud Terrains 285/75-16. Wheels are factory stock also. This is what ATL installed on the 2.5 TDI. I would not install these tires on a earlier 2.4TD. If you didn't like dragging 6 wheels, 285's add drag and scuffing. 255/85 are the same height and a little over an inch narrower. For re...

Read the chassis # range for each version.
Then pull the left side engine cover, it should be obvious.

Re: 718 transport, remove 2 tires?

A little late but I was going to warn you not to overheat the engine. And to idle the engine before shutting it off. The P80 and P90 have specific coolant adding and purging routines, some based on VINs, but how the factory routed lines determinesd the high point to purge air.... barring someone did...
