Re: Haflinger Handout

Dan,
After selling you my NA Haflinger, I never would have guessed that you would become a Haflinger fanatic. I'm glad to see the results of this, and I hope that my previous vehicle contributed to this in some positive way. I think your brochure is fantastic.

Cheers,
Greg

Re: Volvo work day

Peter, 40 degrees Celsius is beyond T-shirt weather in my book. I prefer the ambient temperature significantly below my own body temperature. On top of that, you can't fairly compare your weather during your summer to our weather during our winter. However, it does make a strong argument for visitin...

I did check out the LED lights at night--they are a huge improvement!

Volvo work day

Today I was fortunate to have good enough weather here in Southern California to get some work done on the Volvo--I know that many people reading this will scoff at this remark, but for me, if I can't comfortably do this kind of work while wearing a T-shirt, then I'll do something else preferentiall...

Re: Started video documentation for the C303 restoration!

I had the opportunity to see some of the old style 24v military LED lights on a Pinzgauer. First of all, I think they look hideous. Second, while they are bright, the pattern is not to my liking. For these reasons I decided to go with the new style lights that you used. I just installed these today ...

Do you know a source to get some of those lights?

Re: Started video documentation for the C303 restoration!

Max, I am curious how you like the LED lights. The original 24V incandescent lights are very dim on my vehicle and will need replacing. There are surplus 24V LED headlights from the military that are a multi-LED light and are available for about $100 each. The lights you chose go for a little more t...

A word of warning...... You might end up catching the same ailment that DD has. First you lose touch with reality.....assuming you were ever connected to begin with. Your friends find excuses to avoid you, and their facial expressions are suggestive that you are emitting offensive, perhaps even excr...

Re: Started video documentation for the C303 restoration!

I saw the videos and think you started out with a very nice vehicle to begin with. Now that my main mechanical issues have been resolved, I need to consider how I want to redo the interior of my truck. If you would be so kind as to post pictures or a video showing what was done to yours, that would ...

Re: Must have accessory for multi-purpose use

I finally got to see the bar in person and am quite impressed. I may need to paint it a more subdued color as it does stand out quite dramatically, but I am not in a hurry to change it yet. When I decide how to redo the interior, I'll see what works. Great job, Andre.

Greg

Re: Fuel Injection Patton style

There was a 712m Pinzgauer over at Goatwerks when I picked up my Volvo that had the LEDs on it. Jim demonstrated them to me before I took off and drove 70 miles in the dark with the very dim lights on my Volvo. While there are better 24V incandescent lights than the ones mine has currently, I was in...
