Re: Fuel Injection Patton style

Andre, We most certainly do need to put the bar to good use. I can see I will need a new speedometer and headlights. The Trucklite LED lights may be the ticket. I also will be looking at some heat/noise shield for the doghouse since the noise will not be as melodic to my wife as it is to me. Other t...

Re: Fuel Injection Patton style

I just drove it for about 70 miles of freeway driving and I agree that it does drive much better now. The engine sounds smoother and has more immediate pick-up than before. I am very impressed so far. It will be a while before I can test it off road, but I'll be sure to post when I do. Cheers, Greg

Re: Boots

For anyone looking to replace their CV boots, I want to point out that I had a great experience with FMV4x4. They were very responsive and they have what is probably a superior product than the original due to using materials that should hold up better over time.

Greg

Re: Must have accessory for multi-purpose use

Vince,
I had the original idea to do a drop-down shelf on the Volvo. When Andre and I got to talking about it, we came up together with the idea to make it into a folding bar. Andre then translated these thoughts to that aesthetically-pleasing and very functional unit you see pictured.

Re: Brake servo repair

Mark, Thanks for that. Wives are famous for reorganization according to their own whims  which of course results in colorful language  from us spouses as we attempt to decipher the illogical :? decision making that resulted in our precious stuff being lost. I find it best to make the id...

Re: Brake servo repair

Mark,
It most certainly does......but the CV boots just arrived at Jim's from Sweden, so I am hopeful that the truck will be ready for me soon.

Greg

Re: Replacing belts: Some magic to removing the mech. fan sh

There have been damaged trucks in the states that have been parted out and certainly there are more in Europe. You might want to check with Dennis at Linden Engineering to see if he has what you are looking for. Other than him I don't know specifically who has done this in the US, but you could chec...

Re: Boots

I have CV boots and difflock diaphragms en route from Sweden as we speak. I got the boots from www.fmv4x4.com and chose these as they are polyurethane rather than rubber. I think new old stock rubber boots are not going to hold up well after all these years, so I am hopeful the polyurethane replacem...

The Volvo pics are in a separate sub-album that you can access from his link on his signature line (the sub-albums are listed on the side) or you can go here:

Re: Fuel Injection Patton style

When I first contacted them, they said they think they did one in Europe years ago, but we don't know who it was or how to get in touch with them. Other than that, I am not aware of any others.

Re: Fuel Injection Patton style

Greetings, My TGB11 is fitted with the Patton system and is up and running. My mechanic (Jim LaGuardia) who did the installation would be able to provide both details and pictures. He has several pictures on his website at www.Goatwerks.com. He has also done extensive mapping that should make it eas...

Re: Hafy rings, valves and guides

Agreed. Leonard Castiglione of Microcars in Carlsbad, CA would be a good source for parts in the US. Jim LaGuardia of Goatwerks knows these vehicles well and can do the work or provide technical wizardry.

Re: Hafy parts wanted

These parts are more likely to show up on German or Austrian eBay than here, so I would polish up on your German language skills and look on those sites periodically for the best chance of finding them.
