Re: Air cooled with disc brakes.

I own one '82 710M that was used as a factory Prototype to promote an upgrade program for the Petrol Pinzgauers. It actually uses TD parts. My race 712M and my own 710M were converted with TD parts too. The guy behind classic SUE is a very good friend of mine and we developed the Disc brake system ...

Re: 710 Restoration Okay With Ethanol?

I believe Jim has some finish images of his extended range tank. So you made the two fuel cells shown above, Andre? Or did Jim LaGuardia? If I recall correctly the stock 710 fuel capacity is 20 gallons, with the spare jerry holding 5 gallons. I see using the space typically held by the spare jerry ...

High Altitude Carburetor Performance

Just how flexible are the carbies on a 710? I'd like to overland a 710 through subcontinental India all the way up into the Himalayan kingdoms, where some of the "roads" reach 14,000 to 18,000 feet above sea level.

Re: 710 Restoration Okay With Ethanol?

It would be a good idea to strip the red lining from the fuel tank and have it re-coated with a more modern product or have a new tank made of stainless steel. Do a search on the forum for "red death" to get a good background on the potential problem. I've done some reading on here about ...

710 Restoration Okay With Ethanol?

So I've been seriously considering having a 710m completely restored inside and out, from every nut and bolt and gasket to paint and upholstery; essentially factory new condition. From years spent in the vintage motorcycle world I'm very familiar with making old carbed engines pretty well ethanol fr...

Re: Enjoying the truck

Here is my picture for the calendar - Burning Man (2004) my second time there with other Pinz owners Al Fink and Peter Kula - giving a ride to some damsels in distress... Burning Man. Very cool! Did you and your friends have any difficulty getting your Pinzies allowed into the event? I've heard the...

Re: Enjoying the truck

Cascade.king you are very observant ;) Miss Scottsh Pinz (who does model) says thanks for all the compliments. A few of those pictures were on the way to / from photo shoots I'm in my mid-thirties; my wife is fifteen years younger. She, too, does camera work, both video and photo (no porn, you chee...

Re: Enjoying the truck

Girls just love the Pinzgauer! At least when I'm driving ;) Seeing as how each has a different lovely lady in it.. I think those are all the same lovely lass... Doesn't matter. Our man ScottishPinz has somehow bagged a very young hottie that's willing to dress up for cosplay AND then let herself ge...

Girls just love the Pinzgauer! At least when I'm driving ;) Those photos look suspiciously real, good sir. Seeing as how each has a different lovely lady in it, I can only logically assume at this point that you are one of the following: a) The father of daughters b) A Scottish pimp c) A sexy vampi...

Re: Enjoying the truck

Just popped out for some wild mushrooms today. Lovely late summer / autumn weather and a good crop of mushrooms. Nice to get out for a drive in the Pinzgauer too!! And what good fortune landed the hawt Scot chicky in your Pinzy? Generally these aren't the type of trucks that ooze sex and charm. No ...

Re: 10 YEARS!!! The Portal Hub is 10 years old?

I certainly hope it will be around in another ten years--I'm considering purchase of a Pinzy. And everybody knows that these days nothing is worth doing unless you can broadcast it to everyone online.

E trax? Just Googled it but came up empty. Please explain or provide a weblink, Mr. Jim?

Re: Motorcycle In A Pinzgauer

Such a quick reply, and with relevant info; thanks! Okay, so carrying the bike, which would be a Yamaha TW200, farther aft seems a doable idea. The TW is a very small moto (official specs list wheelbase as a mere 52.2 inches and overall length as a mere 82.3), so perhaps if I were to have the rear t...

Motorcycle In A Pinzgauer

First time poster here, long while lurker, so hello lads! I Image searched "dirtbike pinzgauer" and came across this thread, http://www.real4x4forums.com/PinzgauerBBS/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3249 . I'd like to haul around a dirtbike in the bed of a soft top 710, but I want to weld in or bo...
