Re: Engine cover sound and heat reduction
I’ve read that many times . Vince briefly mentions lining an engine cover on the inside and then having an upholstery shop cover the outside. I’m looking for other experiences with doing this as well as specific materials for lining.

Engine cover sound and heat reduction
Looking for advise and experience on the best materials to add to the underside and upper side of the engine cover to reduce both sound and heat. I have seen some products from Dynamat and other sound control companies, but would like to hear experience before ordering.
Thanks,
Jake

Jake

Door Gaskets
Look at past discussion of replacing door gaskets and most links are outdated. Does anyone have recent supplier of door gaskets materials?

Ron,
What were you results with RP in your trannie? Good, bad, or no effect?

Looking to change my transfer case and transmission. Sounds like several here recommend Red Line MT-90 75W90 GL-4 Gear Oil. Any other suggested products?

Oil additive to reduce gear friction - thoughts
I came across this: Archoil AR9100 Friction Modifier It is an oil additive which “forms a solid boundary lubricating film to reduce friction and provide anti-wear, extreme pressure and anti-corrosion protection to engines, gearboxes and hydraulic systems. AR9100 will result in smoother, more powerfu...

Re: Anyone opened rear door locking mechanism?
Thanks, that helped a bit. My mechanism was glued in with silicone and something else. Got it out only to find that the keyed lock is separate and the locking pin was gummed up so the spring wouldn’t release it. Now I just have to figure out what is in the wrong position to allow the pull knob lock ...

Anyone opened rear door locking mechanism?
I can’t get the panel off to fix the locking mechanism. Seems like something is holding it on. Any ideas? Check my video.

need suggestions for removing door lock cylinder
So after many tribulations I finally got my door open so I could dismantle it and fix the broken lock. Now I am stuck on how to get the lock cylinder out. The pictures below show the cylinder and the slim nut that holds it in. There is very little room. I tried to use some channel locks but can't ge...

WTB: Seat belt for right-most rear seat in a K model
My 712K came with just two rear seats on the left side and center. I am thinking of moving the center seat to the right, but I would like the original seat belt and mounting for the right side. If you have a K and have removed the rear seats, I'd be interested in talking about buying your seat belt.
