Re: Door weatherstripping replacment
Yes, glue both sides of the rubber that contacts the door surfaces and apply glue to the metal surfaces as well, wait for this to get tacky then show that puppy in. Have a blunt wide plastic putty knife and use it to push it home on both sides. Do this door section by section starting in one corner,...

Re: Door weatherstripping replacment
Dono if this PIX helps. Basically you want the rubber leaning toward the chassis so that when the door closes the rubber is pushed outward creating a seal. So get the lower corner into the outer part of the door frame with the tip leaning toward the truck open frame. Hopefully the PIX makes more sen...

Re: Toy guns that fit into holders?
For about 2X that amount you can get a real Swiss rifle -- K31 Carbine.
Out of the box they are almost match accuracy. A tad long for the rifle
mounts though, but should fit.

Re: Tips on removing heater?
Throwing the baby out with the bath water  Well, given the space in a W inside and out e.g. the roof, you have to have the opportunity for 10+ gallons of fresh water inside, and another 10+ gallons roof top -- warmed. Why give up the heater for what would be a pretty small volume? I presume yo...

Re: electric steering assist
The original topic on this subject "Electric steering for 710/712s"
covers the converter and current.
My choice would be the Victron Energy 24V->12V 70A. More than
necessary but it is compact and affordable and from a very high
quality company.

Re: Using simple battery switch to charge house circuit?
Well, wait till you see the bill for the REDARC charger  Although the exchange rate is in your favor. The good thing about AU products is they typically are extremely well designed. Oh! I have an ARB fridge, hardly ever goes on. In fact I first thought it was busted then it went on after nearl...

Re: Using simple battery switch to charge house circuit?
My recommendation would be to list out all the appliances you want to power on the House side of the "W". My hunch is that you will find that your choices for 24V will be limited, but 12V will be more extensive and cheaper. The yachting community figured that out and typically run with a 2...

Re: Engaging the 4WD
Ditto here Paul, pretty much my method as well. At the trail head I enable Lo and 4WD as the default. Then engage rear lockers as required. Front lockers only when absolutely necessary e.g. deep sand, or up grade with loose gravel a low traction situation -- I will do that on the fly. As Paul pointe...

Re: clutch life left?
If it doesn't slip and engages normally -- with a little "Grab", why worry about it?
It's not going to wear down in thickness per se, but more build up a glaze or burnished
surface and loose it's grip, slip and stink

Re: Is a Battery Equalizer recommended dual batt 24v system?
Off topic somewhat but... If your looking for a moderately powered winch e.g. ~6,000 lbs it's going to be 12V. So you got the lower battery as your source unless you have aux 12V batteries (which I do). Ramsey's makes a nice one at 5,000 lbs -- which with a snatch block you can "get otta there&...
