I have three total, one behind each front seat and one on the shelves near my back door. Not paranoid, its just a 38 year old ex army truck with no prior knowledge of the maintenance on the truck. Hopefully I will never need them!

Thanks Dave: I just tried to search for it but no joy. I did find one post that said you R & R'd a Pinz windshield in about 10 min. So the quote I have is pretty expensive. $60 would seem reasonable, but they may not be experienced enough with odd vehicles with flat windshields :roll: Regards, K...

Thanks Dave. Is there a good site to look at for a tutorial on removal & install of the glass? I have only worked with residential glass before and none with gaskets. I saw one of your old posts using a lift truck fork to remove the glass, awesome

I went to the glass doctor today to get a price on the replacement windshield. The sales tech asked the "thickness" of the glass. I did not know and looked back through some of the threads and only found the overall dimensions. Dave Dunn: You probably know. FYI, the quote is $165 for green...

I have been temped by the HF units also, but have been burned on a few things purchased there. So I have been looking for a "used" unit but so far no luck.

This reminds me (again) that I need to purchase a laminated windshield. I always wear safety glasses when driving, but it would be a real mess to take a rock like the one in the picture above
