Re: Overdrive parts available soon

I would also be interested in an OD setup for my 712K
I'm in the process of adding 6 disc brakes to it now..... an OD setup would really set it up nice!
Please keep us updated!
Thanks for the foot work!

That's Mercedes G Squared!... it comes on Portal axles from the factory and that rear bumper is a US dot regulation.

Re: Finally have my Pinz

Oh yes thanks for that!... There is no way I would ever be able to remember that and or spell it as an American! Lol.
My wife is German from Weiden in Bavaria!... I took a screenshot of it I'll have her pronounce it for me and I will practice it till it's memorized!!! Lol!

Re: Stock Pinz exhaust questions

Yes if it were the case that he headers were solidly connected to the rest of the exhaust I would have been in a heap of trouble money-wise! But since it was designed to slip apart literally loosening one Fastener and pulling the exhaust forward was all it took!

Re: Stock Pinz exhaust questions

I have to add that the stock exhaust with the slip joint is awesome. I was doing some serious wheeling and ripped out a huge stump which ripped my whole exhaust rearward the exhaust separated at that slip joint if it was any kind of hard connection I would have destroyed the whole exhaust! It took m...

Re: My latest project - Disc Brakes for a 710/712

I just bought 7 rims to go on my Pinzgauer 712k from a 2014 Ford Transit. If you're telling me this disc brake conversion will work with those rims I'm ready to send you money to have that kit come my way!

Re: US Ford transit wheels fit the 712k!!!!!

Well then to that end..... I never aired down on the trail or on road so less likely to roll a bead on the K rims....
Now they are J rims so the safety bead and lug nuts will have me rolling safley!

Re: US Ford transit wheels fit the 712k!!!!!

These wheels have nothing to do with being tubeless.... I ran the stock 1977 Pinzgauer rims with bfgs and no tubes fine for a year-and-a-half the deal with these rims is they have the safety bead so you don't roll the tire off the rim as easy...... and tomorrow I can get a photo of what it looks lik...

Re: US Ford transit wheels fit the 712k!!!!!

What you're looking at are the stock Ford Transit nuts with the proper 60-degree cone seat. Those nuts are designed to engage with the Hub Cap on the transit which is why it looks like there is not that much engagement if you actually look closely there is no thread on the inside of that part of the...

Re: Took the Pinz to its 1st car show

Just got my second trophy / plaque for my 712k.
It was a German car show at the Larz Anderson Auto museum in Brookline MA.
It was the museum choice award....
I really do enjoy people walking past the fancy exotic cars to make it to the pinz!
