Wow - you guys are about two steps shy of proposing marriage! :o

Seeing Miles' work fills me with motivation. I wonder if he could fill my bank account, too?

My problems with plugs fouling were caused more by defective carburator float valves. The constant dripping of excess fuel generated a lot of gunk. Another symptom was, at times, a high idle caused by the rich fuel. Just as one of those routine Pinzgauer checkup items, have you verified that the acc...

That leads to what I have been advising people for years. The quickest and easiest way to improve the mileage of your vehicle is use Imperial gallons for the calculation. Guaranteed results, first time, every time!!!

Erik,

Is that you on the right with the binkie?

Has the idea of using a small window-mount AC with a small genset been hashed out? You could mount the AC on the back, over the door. Lower center of gravity and more easily remove it in the off-season.

I used an air impact wrench. The impulse is so sharp the nut takes the brunt of the torque, as the rest of the mechanism has too much inertia to spin up that quickly.

Re: Good Stream Flow

Dave, I know at your age you better make sure you have good solid stream or that could indicate problems for you. I guess you are either going to win or have one wet p*&#y! My mind never ventures out of the gutter. Brian Probably the 50 gallons leftover relates to this... Dave - Time to v...

Question on painting/POR-15 on the driveline...

When painting or applying POR-15 to the driveline components, is there any reason to not do the mating surfaces between the components? I realize the coating would have to be flat...so that the surfaces will be fluid tight with gasket cement...but I would think that the few thousandths of an inch ad...

I had a similar problem while driving the 712 home. Under the truck, where the bottom of the shift lever meets the tubular assembly that takes the action back to the transmission, there is a pin tying the two together. A small roll pin holds the larger pin in place. The roll pin was missing, and the...
