Its quite dusty but not overly dirty. Looks very new.

I too noticed the light amounts of oil in there. That seal seems like a MUCH more difficult seal to replace! ughh, all bad news.

Thanks Jim, you were correct. It was the knuckle seal. I will drain and replace the fluid in it this evening. Adjusting the brakes fixed the squishy brake issue. I noticed the rear shoes had the spring on the outer holes of the adjuster side, and the inner holes of the opposite side. This is equal o...

Northern VA. I picked up the truck from Scream Time Zip Line. Was told that our friend in GA had worked on it and was set to go. I'm questioning that now, but want to make sure before i chat with the previous owner.

How can i tell if i have a high speed transmission?

I was told it had one, but I want to make sure. The car sounds like its screaming at 60 mph and it takes quite a bit to get there. 1st gear to 10mph 2nd gear to 20 3rd gear to 30-35 4th gear to 40-45 5th gear to 45-60 I have never seen my 4500 light come on and it sure "sounds" like im rev...

I'm impatient. I will say that right now so as I wait for my manual, i have several questions. The first that i want to tackle is my stinky smoky exhaust! I also think im running a little rich. I get black smoke at start up and white smoke while at idle and accelerating From what I understand, it co...

How much smoke is too much?

My pinz is smoking pretty strong. It gives a big puff at start and continues to smoke while driving. What is making me nervous is that the previous owner said it didnt have any issues. Take delivery and i've come up with a couple. Leaking front knuckles and smoking oils Its at the point that its pre...

Whats the smaller reservoir under the steering column?

I see the one is brake fluid, but what is the cylindrical reservoir for? Clutch hydrolic fluid? Mine is very low. What should i use for fluid? Can i use brake fluid? (I'm used to MGs and the like where its in both the brakes and clutch hydrolics) If I am low, where can it be leaking? What should i l...
