Re: Parking Brake Malfunction...Slipping Handle

So don't use grease? because I'm thinking the grease is what is causing the problem. I will try to clean it out next. Thanks

Re: 710K map-reading lamps

So my 710K inside lights are working the way they are suppose to, BUT the blue light in the rear does not go on when the doors are open. Bulb is fine. The clear light in the rear turns on with all doors closed, along with the front clear light and the two articulating desk type lights. The blue ligh...

Re: Brake Light issue

I have gone cross eyed trying to figure out what wrong with my Pinz, with searching forums and trying to understand the schematics. So I will ask for some help. I have a 1971 Swiss 710 K. Looks to be stock lights, amber for turn and brake lights. The parking lights, and left and right turn signals w...

Re: Parking Brake Malfunction...Slipping Handle

I'm having the same problem in my Swiss 710K. I pulled the parking brake apart and noted the asymmetrical shape of the catch. Thought initially it was due to wear but I think that's how they are originally. I put it back together, and include the 4-5 turns of the cable that was not there to begin wi...

Add 1 more to bay area pinz.

Hi all, Want to introduce myself. My name is Kelvin. I just received my pinz yesterday. A 1971 710K. It arrived from Ohio. The previous owner had it since 2002, and prior to that it was in the Swiss Army I believed. Was able to register it fine today, thought it was going to be the biggest hurdle. I...

Re: Pinzgauer Radio Parts

I live in monterey bay area. The pinz will eventually make it up to the Alameda area. I see you are in northern california too and have quite a project going. Maybe we can meet up sometime, and I learn a few things.
There is a 712M in Alameda that I see quite often, parked but not driven.

Re: Sources for Hub Steps

I could not find an entry step I was happy with so I made my own. the idea of having one that stuck out there for every rock to grab did not impress me. the removeable hoops are only good if you remember to remove them, saw too many of those destroyed on the trails. the way I solved it you can not ...

Re: Pinzgauer Radio Parts

Hi John,
I'm interested in the antenna mast tubes and the hubstep if they are still available. I'm not sure what the best way to contact here as I've PM'd 8 different people without any response.
Would you ship?
I'm in northern california.
Thanks
Kelvin.

Re: Rubbing strip removal

When you drill in through the nuts, doesn't the remnant stay within the hollow tube and rattles or make noises or can you remove them from the hollow tube after your drill or push them through?

Re: CA Residents - CARB Rules Have Changed Again.....

For year 1971 and 72, there shouldn't be any problem if registering new to CA? Anything extra needed before getting title transferred and registered in CA?

Re: Looking to buy 710K- anybody know this one?

I saw that ad and called the company yesterday and was told someone bought it a couple days ago. It says sale pending on their website.
Thanks for the tip, I'm definitely looking for one road legal.

Looking for CA legal pinz

Hello there, I'm looking for a CA legal to purchase, preferably already registered in CA, or if not at least 1971 or 1972 year (I heard those years can get titled in CA). Not looking for a perfect vehicle, but maybe needing some maintenance or simple repairs that I potentially can do myself. Minimal...
