Re: Which Carburetor Balancing Tool
I have one of those, they work well. The point of the balancing tool is to get approximately the same amount of air flowing through both carbs at idle so that all four cylinders are pulling evenly when the throttle plates are almost closed. Having a good balance at idle is paramount to having a smooth idle and ensuring that all four cylinders are active and pulling evenly as the throttle is opened for a smooth increase in power from idle.

That looks like it but is likely the repro of the original. The original was made in Germany and I think is the one still sold by EI https://www.expedition-imports.com/STEBK. The repros are made in Taiwan: https://smile.amazon.com/Latest-Rage-De ... nchronizer
STE was the German brand I think: https://smile.amazon.com/Carburetor-Syn ... GRA9F806SW
