Drip in venturi

Post by JimmyC »

I was balancing a friends carbs when I noticed gas dripping into the venturis out of the crossbars. This would be gas’s coming from the air jets. The idle was a bit high, but I have never noticed this on my truck. Has anybody seemed this? The truck was running well at the time, but has had intermittent problems recently where it loses power.

Perhaps you have one or more saturated floats and the fuel bowl is flooding. Not difficult to diagnose and repair.
