EFI.

Post by Erik712m »

Well, I've decided to do my own efi system on a 710.

Has anyone played with coil overs out of a ford? the 2l coil fits the pinz. plug hole.

But what about your Jake system?
While the Ford coils may work, it is better to use LS1 or newer LS type coils.
You can find them on ebay (4 for $65 up)

I believe that the system he bought from me went onto a 712, sounds like he might be outfitting a second truck, a 710...

Erik, I have some spare pieces left over from the EFI kits we did, if you can use them you ca have them..

Correct my 712 is currently fitted with EFI now I'm trying to fit a 710.

If you have any Nikies setting around send them this way.

I noticed LN is no longer advertising them.

Jim reading through the Transit manual they recommend the coil overs replaced ever 90k same with the ls1? After market replacement coil over go for thirty-six buck have a spare in the tool box doesn't seem like a bad idea.
Plus getting rid of the single coil allows for a more get home friendly setup. The pinz will limp home on three cylinders maybe two.

Erik, would you mind sharing what you're up to? I'd like to do the same.

LN was making them for me.. I can still have them made. They quit carrying them otherwise when I decided not to offer a Pinz engine program.

They did sell a few other sets, Jim ended up with one set.

Is everybody up and running with Jake's EFI? The subject hasn't come up on this forum for quite a while.

I'm up and running, but I bought Jake's entire test mule already outfitted. Works great.

Donnie, Glad you are enjoying my old truck.. I sure do miss it, but i haven't had time to enjoy it anyway..

I know of 9 of my kits that are up and running, thats 50% of what we produced.. Of those there have been a few issues to work through, but we've tackled them as they have popped up.

Man I am glad to have that behind us!!
