712 carbs on a 710K? Bad thing?

Post by edzz »

 Whilst resealing the carburetors on my 710K I noted it has the jet’s that the manual indicates for the 712’s. how much would installing the correct jet’s alter my 710K’s performance?

I don't think that it matters. I run my 710M's between 9,000 - 13,000 ft. above sea level in the mountains every day... without the "high altitude" jets. They run just as good in the valleys as the do on the pass tops.

The 712 jetting will provide a little more power.
Your 135 mains are fine from sea level to 10,000ft .
Those 55 idle jets are fine as long as it does not run too lean at sea level, they are normally a 60.
