Muffler Development - Not far off

Post by ExpeditionImports »

Hi guys,

A couple of the dies are being finished up and the prototyping is coming to an end. Should be a nice stainless muffler, a little freer flowing, but still keeping with the factory design.

Should have some test results pretty soon, then we will go to market.

Cheers,

Scott

I'm interested as well on a original style SS muffler and pipe clear to the end.

I don't need one now but I probably will soon - looks a bit rough.

I live in the southwest where stainless isn't necessary, no salt and very little rain. Will a regular steel version be available?

I thought mufflers rotted from the inside out, and not the other way around. I'd go SS any time given the option, as the labor and not the materials is what really adds up at the end.

I never had a stock size muffler on long enough to rot off. Seems most of them are removed by mother nature

I have one of the swiss ss ones on my current truck.
Damn impressive for sure, If Scotts are comparable at a reduced price, we all will be very thankfull. As stated, I fear mine will be damaged from playing way before it ever would were out.

Testing update: Prototype is quieter and has better tone and flow.
Knowing the truck I installed it on well, it has a slight performance improvement.
Thats all for now.

After the muffler's fully developed, I think Vince needs to move on to an "Ultimate Heat Exchanger"!
