I screwed up the threads on that stud so it will need to come off. Will work with some heat and this stud removal chuck tool looking thing. Here is to hoping not shearing the bolt off.

DOes it matter which way I insert the stud, looks a little different from what I pull out from the engine. These new studs are from SAV, not local hardware store. I'm thinking having the longer threads on the header side to allow more space for compression and put the shorter end into the head.

Short end goes into the head. Be careful with the heat, it's Aluminum

Its probably inexprience but man that was kind of a pain in the butt, installing the headers on down by myself. Learned it is easier to remove the hangers for the HE, attached it to the HE prior to bolting on to chassis.

How much play is it suppose to have, the whole system once bolted in? I see the bolt that goes through the top of the hanger is in a slot, is it suppose to be able to slide or just pivot on the top of the hanger?

The two screws that attaches the HE to the hangers seems quite tight almost right of the bat, I take it its some type of locking nut.

Definitely sounded better. But had some wierd smell, unsure if its leaking exhaust fumes or just smell of new exhaust. Would ceramic coating it make some wierd smell initially? I dont think exhaust fume as the flex coupler were pretty much disconnected before but didnt smell like this before the upgrade.

I'm finding out there is an exhaust leak from the header to flex kit connection. I used the clamp that came with the kit but I think a band clamp would work better but I can't find one small enough. Anyone else have the same problem?

Are the clamps that came with your kit look like the one below?

If so these are actually pretty good at putting a uniform force around
the circumference of the pipe. The C-clamp styles are not. I have
used band style clamps before, depending on the design they can
be as good but typically won't apply nearly as much force.
Of course, if your header end is out of round, that may be the
problem. If it is you could get a pipe expander to force it back
into shape. Incidentally that happens when using c-clamps
with excessive force as they do not apply force uniformly

I did ceramic coat the parts but I dont think it should affected it very much. I'll have to see the pipe expander option. Thanks.

You only need the "expander" if the pipe is out of round.
Is the flex perhaps too loose on the header? Typically they
fit tight. One other possibility is exhaust assembly paste.
It will also seal. I've used Wurth paste in the past.
