Transfer box flange nut

Post by Ian »

I have an oil leak from the transfer box input seals and I'm having trouble getting the flange nut off. I have the style with the slotted nut with 4 cutouts in it, not the type that has a washer with two bolts through it that I've seen in the manual.
Can anyone confirm if this nut is conventional right hand thread or is it left hand thread?

Fantastic, cheers! I've already broken one homemade tool and close to breaking the second. No wonder if I'm tightening it!!!
