No springs, no shock absorbers ???

Well gents,

Here is a chance to really 'rock the boat' in offroad driving, or rather stabilize it.
It is a hydraulic piston that replaces the springs and shocks. I imagine it would not be cheap, but write them and send the money.

One advantage is
Variable spring-rate: smoothest possible ride in all conditions.
Variable damping: avoid resonance and bouncing

I remember 'Ktech engineering' offering Air-Suspension a long time ago, but not lately

Best regards,

Jules

Looks to be the same system used by Citroen in their DS series of sedans from 1955 onward. Updated with active control is the advancement I guess.

The Citroen design works well - but it uses very high pressures and small hydraulic cylinders that are mounted close to the pivot point on the suspension arms to make them more compact and to reduce piston travel distances and wear. Not really adaptable to the Pinzgauer suspension design. Perhaps this is implemented differently?
