I PROMISE this has been answered a bunch in the forum. All of the answers you seek are within the search function

Not trying to be difficult - I want to get you to the point that you can find the answers for most of what you will experience within the first few years of ownership

Here is a sample that a search brought up.
I use Redline fluids so that is what I searched "Redline"
Welcome to the board!

Thanks for sharing this thread, great info for those of us new to Pinz ownership. I have searched and read for many hours but somehow missed this one. Really helpful!

Use Diesel engine oil (CJ-4) or Aviation grade (depending upon how deep your wallet is).
Or Motor oil intended for classic cars.

Do NOT use Oil intended for todays gasoline fueled cars unless you want cam lobe wear and
lifter pitting. Anti-wear additives such as ZDDP are insufficient to protect high wear points in older
generation Engines with solid lifters and no rollers. Anti-wear levels were reduced due to Catalytic
converter poisoning. Unless you want lifters like the one on the right below :?

If during the winter months your rig sits for extended periods of time, toss in a can of CamGuard,
this bonds to the metal surfaces and reduces corrosion -- there are two formulas, one for ashless
aviation grade and one for ash e.g. metallic based/detergent oils (C or S designation).

Also, I would not use synthetic, even formulas with sufficient anti-wear additives.

For what it's worth I use ashless Aviation grade oil with CamGuard.

One of these days I need to post all this stuff

Freezing to hot conditions use multi-viscosity; e.g. 20W50.

In a perfect world, which we aren't -- constant temperature use
a mono-grade oil, it has better "stick to the surface" properties,
thus less corrosion.

Again stick with Diesel CJ-4 or Aviation grade, pure mineral spirits.
Change oil after 3,000 miles.

where you are.
