Whine towards rear

Post by JonGM13 »

Being new to Pinz with a 710K there seems to be a lot of transmission noise in the rear of the truck. There is no noise proofing yet so obviously hard top makes it worse.
But is this norm?

Hard to say if yours has a normal amount of sound without hearing it but yes, there is a lot of noise at higher speeds/revolutions. And you are right, the enclosed top exacerbates that. Mine quieted a lot with tightening every thing up, new weatherstripping, sound proofing in the doors, and items in the back that absorb sound. Changing out the fluids also helped. I can now carry on a conversation with the passenger.
