Transmission filler threads stripped
When I was checking my transmission oil I found the threads in the aluminum rear gearbox casing (710.1.21.522.1) where the reduction plug (900.19960) were mostly stripped. This is the highest plug, where you are suppose to put oil in. Has anybody found a way to fix this without tearing the transmission down?

All the aluminum castings have stainless steel helicoil inserts for strength.
I don’t now what actual brand insert they used. But look to see if the insert
Is in place or broke. If it’s not intact you may be able to pick out any
remaining pieces. If the threads for the insert are ok you can insert a new one.
